Linn County offers free of charge assistance to their veterans and associated dependents. They prefer in person appointments but will also try to help over the phone. Linn County offers these services to not just Linn County, but also the surrounding counties such as Henry County.
Johnson County Veteran Affairs focuses on veterans who were honorably discharged to help them get connected to the services they need. Gary Boseneiler is the main contact for these services and as a veteran himself, he is dedicated to his mission in helping his fellow brother in arms seeking assistance.
Iowa Department of Affairs is the biggest Veteran Services department in the state of Iowa. Their online resources include; Iowa Benefits Bureau, Iowa Veterans Home, and Iowa Veterans Cemetary. The Iowa Department of Veteran Affairs has an office in most majors cities across Iowa.
